Introduction

Alloy 52 is a controlled thermal expansion alloy, consisting of 51% Nickel, balance Iron; Its low thermal expansion properties make it suitable for a range of glass to metal sealing app- lications and for the manufacture of hermetic packages.
Alloy 52 is produced with good machining properties and is manufactured under controlled conditions to ensure it is free from pores and inclusions.

Typical Uses and Applications

Alloy 52 is widely used for process vessels and piping; boiler feedwater heaters and other heat exchangers; and deaerating heaters.
